Our Story
In the wake of the global financial crisis, a major global bank hired McKinsey & Company to convene a team of the world’s top experts in leadership transformation: Harvard professors Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey, David Rock of the NeuroLeadership Institute, and McKinsey’s Colin Price, author of Beyond Performance.
Alex Wray was selected to coach a cohort of their senior executives through the behavioral shifts needed to realign leadership with a bold, high-stakes turnaround strategy. Unlike traditional academic models or theory-heavy programs, this was transformation in the trenches: real leaders, real stakes, real change.
Over that year, Alex helped translate elite thought leadership into real-world execution—coaching leaders to shift their mindset, apply new behaviors, and lead differently when it mattered most.

Driven by a commitment to scaling leadership capacity and transforming organizational culture, Alex has worked with pioneers such as Robert Kegan and David Rock, developed corporate leadership programs that bring an innovative blend of strategy consulting and executive coaching, and integrated key adult development research to form his proprietary coaching method, MINDSHIFT.
